dated for 1871, with 33in. barrel, block and dove-tailed blade fore-sight, folding leaf rear-sight, plain rolling block action, the top-tang marked with the serial number and date separated by 'J.A. LAFQVIST ESKILSTUNA', the maple straight-hand butt-stock (figure possibly enhanced) inlet with a white metal embossed shield inscribed ''1STA PRISET 1871' together with the recipient's name, possibly 'Werner Eriksson', full-length fore-end with exposed muzzle and three iron barrel-bands
